Redmi Smart TV X Series comes in three different screen size variants of 50 inch, 55 inches, and 65-inch display. All of these variants have 4k resolution and HDR support. The 4K video play quality is excellent in the Redmi X series. But suppose you upscale a lower resolution input to a massive screen. In that case, It is obviously not going to perform that well. The color saturation level in these TV models is comparatively moderate compared to the other premium brands of this price segment.

The Display panel used by the company in this TV is not mentioned anywhere. However, we observed that the quality and the performance are excellent. Of course, there are other premium panels available in the market. Still, this panel also does its job without any problem.

The overall quality is excellent, and for typical usage, you will not even need to bump the sound above 50 to 60 percent. Even for listening to music, 80 to 90 percent is more than enough.

Everything being said, you will not get the sound effect similar to an expensive soundbar or home theatre through the stock speakers. So, if you want to create a theatre or a club-level sound experience, you will have to connect an external sound system.

PatchWall is a user interface developed by MI that focuses on delivering the most appropriate & aggregated suggestions based on your watch pattern, right at the homepage. It makes it easier to switch between any OTT platforms to any satellite broadcasting channel if you are using a setup box. Other than that, it also has a dedicated tab for kids and a parental control for setting up limits in the kids’ mode.

The PatchWall interface facilitates a direct selection of content by selecting a language. Moreover, the TV models of the X Series have MI home App support which helps it connect it with other home appliances for smart home integration through AI like Alexa & google assistant.

The final say is that it might not be the best UI available in the market, but it is definitely one of them. You may experience a lag during very heavy multitasking; otherwise, there won’t be an issue for a lower to medium level usage.
